Vote Sarah Hacker for Reading West Parliamentary Candidate

Reading Momentum are supporting Sarah Hacker in the selection for Reading West’s Parliamentary Candidate.

The shortlisted candidates: Sarah Hacker; Rachel Eden and Rebecca Geech will attend hustings on March 10th the Pavillion in Oxford Road, where Reading West Members will be able to hear each of them present their case and vote to choose their candidate for the next election.

We believe that Sarah Hacker has the profile to win the next election for Reading West with the support of Local Members and Momentum Activists. In order for Corbyn to be able to carry out the policies from the 2017 manifesto, he will need supportive Labour MPs in parliament. Electing a candidate supportive of the leadership will ensure that members across reading are enthused and rally behind the candidate.

Sarah Hacker is supported by Momentum & Unite for Reading West Parliamentary Candidate

Reading West voted to support Jeremy Corbyn in the second leadership election, but despite this a large number of councillors publically supported Owen Smith. Sarah Hacker was one of only 10 councillors in Reading who backed Corbyn. Sarah has publically supported Momentum from the start, and will be glad to have our support in campaigning for the Reading West seat.

As well as representing Battle Ward as a councillor since 2010, Sarah is an active trade unionist. We believe her local history, keen interest in listening to and fighting for local people and strong socialist credentials make her the only choice for Reading West Candidate. Please endeavour to make it along to the Hustings and to give Sarah your vote.
